Day 4 Oyster Bay to Mattituck Inlet

Novella spent the morning in Oyster Bay (please revisit the blog soon for pictures and story). After a late start it was a long run against headwinds and across crosswinds with a mostly foul tide along the South Shore of Long Island Sound. Novella arrived at  Mattituck Inlet just before dark and docked at the new Strongs Water Club and Marina (the old Matt-A-Mar).

The marina manager, Ted Webb generously offered dockspace for Novella to re-provision and to wait for another sunny day to propel us further along towards Orient Point, Montauk and the completion of our circumnavigation at the Ponquogue Bridge in Hampton Bays.

As of this writing we plan to depart early Wednesday morning to continue our circumnavigation.

Strongs Marina is very accommodating, and we really appreciate them going the extra mile to help.
